Amiga A4000 DAC-Board. This board will fit in your Amiga video slot, will not work for none AGA amiga`s. This board skips the internal DAC-chip of the Amiga and uses a newer version of the DAC-chip, this DAC-chip is a better solution for patching through to a video card, because the internal Amiga DAC chip does not start with real black values but with a darkgray, you can fix this with adjusting your brightness and contrast but with combination with your videocard your videocard will be darker and your internal amiga video will be brighter, this DAC-card will give same darkness as a videocard, starting with deep black colors. Also the card has a buffer chip for the SYNC signals, what you find in most amiga video plugs to VGA.
It has a VGA output port, i made a jumper to switch between CSYNC or VSYNC/HSYNC signal, also i put a jumper for 5v, this can be ussed in a cable to select RGBmode for a TV when connect to scart. But there are also screens that need around 12v for RGB select, there is no 12v on the video connector, you can solder a wire to your scartcable and connect with a 12v adapter or get 12v from the serial-port
If your videocard has a jumper for CSYNC, it means you can connect to scart through the VGA connector on your videocard, you do need to convert your videocard videomodes to interlaced alot of the times because scart is mostly 15khz. the software package picasso96 can adjust your videomodes, most modern TVs will de interlace. If you get a monitor cable, you just cut the end of and solder to a scart plug. Instructions will be send to you.
This board is not a scandoubler and will output 15khz for standard amiga video modes!
